Tundra Tip: Farther Than You Think
Distances can appear farther in the tundra.
In the Arctic, light refraction can distort how you view distance. That hill you thought you'd reach in 2 hours may take 2 days instead. Adjust your expectations and logistics accordingly, and trust the map, not your eyes.
